The Founder of RedAnt
Mr. Patrick Ni began his career at Motorola China as a network specialist in April 1994, supporting the data and voice infrastructure of the Shanghai facility. Six years later, his immigration application was approved by the Canadian government and his application for the Unix Administrator position at the No. 5 road facility in Richmond, BC was approved by Motorola Canada. Mr. Patrick Ni landed in Vancouver on March 27, 2000 with his wife. He and his wife then settled in Ladner, BC.
Mr. Patrick Ni received his Masters degree in Computer Science from Shanghai University and certifications from CISSP, Cisco, HP and Microsoft. He was CISSP, CCNA (perfect score) and CCDA, and passed the CCDP exams and the CCNA Voice exam.
After the Richmond site had closed, Mr. Patrick Ni had worked with Telus, Justice Institute of BC (JIBC), BC Biomedica, Convedia, RadiSys and Strangeloop Networks, and his own consulting business for awhile. He learned the most from Motorola, and had the most fun with the local high-tech company, Convedia.
Patrick loves challenges. He has a friendly demeanour, likes to serve and to see people happy. After receiving mentoring from his long-time friend Martin, Patrick became interested in business and ultimately founded RedAnt.
Patrick currently resides in Westwood Plateau, Coquitlam and spends a tremendous amount of time swimming and goofing around with his son.
